Real Madrid Football Club, better known as Real Madrid and for being one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Spain and the world. It is considered by FIFA as the best club of the twentieth century to accumulate numerous trophies. Since it began, Real Madrid has since spent all of its history in La Liga, and has never been relegated down to a lower level. This shows how strong they have been just to stay in the top flight of Spanish football.

Throughout his career Real Madrid has had the best players in the history of football, such as Zidane, Beckham, Di Stéfano, Kaka, Owen and also have the highest winner of the Golden Boot, Cristiano Ronaldo. The matches at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium are worth seeing for any football lover. It was founded on March 6th, 1902.

Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

The stadium was named after the then incumbent club president Santiago Bernabéu. He ruled the club for 35 years and his dream was to make Real Madrid the best club not only in Europe but in the whole world. In order to achieve this, he had a new stadium built in 1944. In 1947 the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu was officially opened. At that time, however, under a different name “Nuevo Estadio Chamartín”. After several renovations, the stadium can now hold more than 80,000 spectators for Real Madrid home games.
